Mike Dreitzer Appointed as the New Chairman of the Nevada Gaming Control Board

Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo announced on Monday that Mike Dreitzer will be taking over as the new Chairman of the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB). Dreitzer will be succeeding Chairman Kirk Hendrick, who is set to resign after the 2025 Legislative Session.

“I am grateful to Chairman Hendrick for his service and partnership to our state as he prepares to step down,” stated Gov. Lombardo. “During his tenure, the NGCB has made significant progress in modernizing and innovating the gaming industry in Nevada by eliminating bureaucratic obstacles.”

Mike Dreitzer, the incoming Chairman, brings a wealth of experience in gaming compliance and decades of industry knowledge to the role. Gov. Lombardo expressed confidence in Dreitzer’s ability to lead the NGCB with integrity and continue the advancements made in recent years.

Mike Dreitzer’s Background and Experience

Prior to his appointment, Dreitzer served as the Chief Executive Officer of Gaming Arts, LLC, a gaming equipment supplier holding over 150 gaming licenses. He will be resigning from his current position to assume his new role as Chairman of the NGCB, with an expected start date of June 23.

“I am deeply honored to have been appointed to the Nevada Gaming Control Board by Governor Lombardo. I am looking forward to upholding the Board’s mission and ensuring top-quality gaming regulation for our state,” said Mike Dreitzer in response to his appointment.

Dreitzer has previously held key positions in the gaming industry, including President of the North America Division for Ainsworth Game Technology, Inc., Chief Operating Officer of BMM Americas, and Co-Founder and COO of G3, a gaming content company. He also served as a Deputy Attorney General in the Nevada Office of the Attorney General.
